This tour will allow you to test your skills as you cross the Giau pass, a landmark in the history of cycling, as well as one of the most challenging routes in the Dolomites along with the Fedaia Pass and the three peaks of the Lavaredo. Once you reach Belvedere, you will have the opportunity to admire the wonderful view of Mount Civetta reflecting on Lake Alleghe. Starting from there, it becomes tough. More than 10 km of bends and hairpin bends and an average gradient of 9% which will put your legs to the test without allowing any break. Approaching this ascent carefully is essential if you want to reach the top and admire the magnificent view of the Dolomite mountains all around you: Marmolada, Tofane, Cristallo, Sella and Croda del Lago. The beauty of the panorama will make you forget the fatigue and give you a boost to ride downhill at full speed towards Cortina. Don’t get too distracted as you speed down the mountain though: if you are lucky, you should be able to spot chamois, roe deer and marmots.
